Today is the 1st anniversary of JIN, JK, Charli XCX and JIMIN's wonderful song 'Dream Glow', which is also the OST for BTS WORLD.

When this song was released, Chung Bobby, who engaged in making 'Dream Glow', uploaded the article complimenting Jimin`s vocal. (He also participated in making 'Filter'.) 

So I translated that article, to celebrate DG's 1st anniv.

Since he deleted the article, we cannot see the original version. But I attached the image below the translation, so please look it up if you need.

오늘은 석진이, 정국이, 찰리 XCX, 그리고 우리 지민이가 부른 'Dream Glow'가 나온 지 딱 1년 되는 날입니다! 축하해요~

이 노래가 처음 발매되었을 때, 곡 작업에 참여하신 정바비 님이 지민이의 보컬과 방탄소년단 멤버들을 칭찬하는 게시글을 인스타그램에 올려주셨어요. (정바비 님은 '필터' 작업에도 참여하셨답니다!'^^) 그래서 드림 글로우 1주년을 기념하기 위해서, 그 글을 번역해서 올려봅니다.

All 7 boys of BTS have their own striking attractions, but I was especially deeply in Jimin’s character, by the time when I was working on this song. The line that came out naturally  while following the trajectorys of his dream, his despair and once again his bigger dreams dimly, was “Skinned knees that the good boys, who were told that they`re easy to raise, used to hide” My work is just a kind of suggestion in all respects, and whether to use it or not is all at the producer and the artist`s discretion. But at least for this line, I hoped for Jimin to sing that part just as what I thought. And after listening to the sound source released today, I cannot help marveling. That voice, that pronunciation and that vocal directing. It was 200%, no 300% output of the image I imagined. Then I thought, though it was the same thought I had while I was working on ‘Answer’, that ultimately BTS directly sang about themselves using my work. And through this marvelous experience, I realize how inspiring artist they are. I just wish them good luck, who are walking through the untrodden field lonelily, already going beyond the ranks of legends. #DreamGlow #BTS

방탄의 일곱 소년들이 저마다 한칼하는 매력이 있지만 이 노래를 작업하던 무렵엔 특히 지민의 캐릭터에 푹 빠져 있었다. 그의 꿈, 그의 절망, 그리고 다시 또 보다 큰 꿈의 궤적을 어설프레하게나마 따라가다보니 자연스럽게 나온 구절이 “키우기 쉽단 착한 소년들이 감추곤 했던 까진 무릎팍”. 나의 작업물은 어디까지나 일종의 제안이고 사용 여부는 프로듀서와 아티스트의 재량이지만, 이 구절만큼은 지민이 내가 생각한 그 느낌으로 불러주길 내심 기대했다. 그리고 오늘 공개된 음원을 듣고 감탄을 금할 수 없었다. 그 음색, 그 발음, 그 보컬 디렉팅. 내가 그렸던 이미지의 200%, 아니 300% 아웃풋을 내주었기 때문에 ㅎㅎ 그러고 생각한 것이, Answer 때도 생각한 것이지만 어떤 구절들은 궁극적으로는 나를 빌려서 방탄이 그들의 얘기를 직접 한 것 같다. 그리고 이런 신기한 경험을 통해 새삼 그들이 얼마나 많은 사람들에게 영감을 주는 아티스트인지 실감하게 된다. 이미 레전드의 반열도 넘어 미답의 영역을 고독하게 걷고 있는 그들의 건승을 기원할 뿐이다. #DreamGlow #BTS
